What is Jyotish?
Jyotish, the 'science of light', is one of the six Vedangas. It studies how the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets at the moment of birth are mapped into a kundli (birth chart), and how that chart is read for the different areas of life.
This course takes you from the alphabet of astrology (the nine grahas, twelve rashis, twelve bhavas and 27 nakshatras) to reading a full chart, timing events with the Vimshottari dasha system and matching horoscopes for marriage.

Do I need to know Sanskrit?
No. Terms are explained as they come up, and classes are taught in Hindi and English.
Will I learn to make a kundli by hand or with software?
Both. You learn the method behind the chart, then how to use software to work faster. Ask us for the exact tools covered.
Is this enough to start consulting?
The course is built to take you to a practice level. How fast you get there depends on how much you practise charts after class.
